Connors banana cake recipe
Banana Cake
Ingrediants:
125g butter, softened
3/4 cup sugar
2 eggs
2 cups mashed ripe bananas
1 t baking powder
2 T hot milk
2 cups standard plain flour
1 t baking powder
Method:
1. Cream butterand sugar untill light and fluffy.
2. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
3. Add mashed banana and mix throughly.
4. Stir baking soda into hot milk and add to creamed mixture.
5. Sift flour and baking powder and fold into mixture.
6. Turn into a greased and lined 20 cm round cake tin.
7. Bake at 180 degrees for 50 minutes or untill cake springs back when lightly touched.
8. Leave in tin for 10 minutes before turning out onto a wire rack and when cold ice the cake.
